Dr. Gregory Messner is a cardiovascular surgeon who specializes in vascular care and endovascular surgery for patients who suffer from peripheral vascular diseases (PVD) in both the arteries and veins. Dr. Messner is board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery and has concentrated his practice on peripheral
vascular disease in the outpatient setting since 2015. Dr. Messner has been in practice since 2006 and has performed more than 6400 procedures. He currently provides care and treatment at TCVl’s South Texas outpatient facilities. He tailors his treatment plans to the needs of patients and their families with more
efficiency and less expense than a traditional hospital setting.

After completing his surgical training at the University of North Texas, where he was the Chief Resident in General Surgery, Dr. Messner completed his
fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the worldrenowned Texas Heart Institute under the direction of Dr. Denton Cooley. He also completed a fellowship in Cardiac Transplant and Mechanical Assist Devices followed by endovascular surgery at the Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Messner has focused his practice on vascular and endovascular treatments for patients with PVD and specializes in minimally invasive treatments at all our locations in Texas.
Dr. Messner has been featured in the Trademark “Top Doctors of America” for vascular and endovascular surgery and “Best Doctors in Dallas” as voted by his peers for D Magazine. He has written numerous articles and presented nationally as well as trained physicians locally and internationally and lectures at vascular conferences both in the United States and abroad.
